Canine Touch

Canine Touch was evolved by MVDr Ivana Ruddock, from her work with husband Jock, Founder of the Equine Touch. Ivana is a practising veterinarian and anatomy lecturer. With a comprehensive understanding of canine anatomy and physiology, she has created a stand-alone technique to suit the canine.

WHAT IS CANINE TOUCH?

Lara started running the 2-day Canine Touch courses in 2009 and further courses will be scheduled for 2010. Courses will take place in Bucks/Oxon area and Norfolk. If you are interested in learning please call or email Lara to register your interest.

 

Module 1 (2 days)

This Foundation class offers the introduction into the Canine Touch technique. Qualified instructors will teach the hands-on technique, introducing two moves (‘I’ and ‘D’ move) used in the basic CT procedures. During the two days students learn all procedures suitable for the first address of the dog (Spinal procedures and Dynamic Body balance). In the mornings you will first practice on one another, through light clothing, before transferring the techniques you learn on to the dogs in the afternoons.

Module 2 (2 days)

After a complete review of the Basic Procedures and refining individual students’ technique, instructors will introduce the ‘S’ move used in the advanced procedures. This class teaches all Area of Concern procedures. At the end of the course, the instructor will also introduce and demonstrate the principles of gentle stretching techniques.

[NB: Students must be aged 18 or over to take part in these courses.]
